Hip Hop Enquirer caught up with actress Wendy Robinson during the BET Awards weekend. In this exclusive interview, she talks about how certain reality shows have taken away from the entertainment industry. She argues that we should be mindful of the negative images that these shows are delivering to the world, as they represent our communities and impact our youth. While it is the “entertainment industry,”  she says that it our responsibility to censor what we put out there.

Producer Stevie J has received a lot of flack about his role on the hit VH1 show Love and Hip Hop Atlanta because of what some view as a poor representation of how he treats some of his love interests on the show. After the first episode of the show, there was a petition circulating on the internet to have the show removed but after subsequent episodes people have taken a liking to the show and there has been rumors that Stevie J along with his girlfriend Joseline Hernandez will likely get their own spinoff show.

Do you agree? Should there be a censorship on ‘certain’ reality television shows or should we respect the ratings and continue filming the drama that everyone is presumedly craving for?
