Hip Hop Mogul Dame Dash has filed a lawsuit against his former attorney, totaling $5 million dollars claiming that she ruined the distribution deal Dash had with rapper Curren$y.
“DD172” Dame Dash’s company, and “BluRoc Records” filed the lawsuit last week in Manhattan Federal Court against attorney Janis Shen.
The reason behind the lawsuit claims that Janice Shen did not go through with the proper paperwork needed for the oral agreement Dash had with Curren$y. This resulted in Dash losing Curren$y, and several other artists.
The distribution deal with Curren$y was supposed to create three albums with Dame Dash; Muscle Car, Chronicles, and Pilot Talk I and II.
Due to his attorney failing to provide the necessary paper work, Curren$y took his albums to “Warner Music Group”.
Curren$y’s move to Warner not only cost Damon Dash his deal with “Island Def Jam”, it also cost him business relationship with Rick Ross’s recording artist Stalley.
Earlier this year Curren$y was in the process of filing a lawsuit against Dame Dash for Copyright Infringement . In an interview with VladTV he gave an update on the status of the lawsuit.
If not for bad luck Dame Dash wouldn’t have any luck at all says the wise man!
