In an upscale apartment complex in Buckhead, GA at least 30 cars were broken into overnight.

As reported on ajc.com, most of the break-ins occurred in an enclosed parking garage at the Cambridge Buckhead Apartments on Piedmont Road near Lenox Road, according to Atlanta police Capt. Adam Lee III.

According to Capt. Lee 17 of the cars were in the parking garage, and the other 13 were parked in surface lots.

“You have to have a code to get in there, so we’re not sure how or when the perpetrators got in,” he said.

The Atlanta Police were notified of the break-ins around 3:30 a.m. Thursday. At 6 a.m. Police were still trying to locate all of the owners.

“Most of the vehicles had the windows broken out,” Lee said. “It appears that damage exceeds what was taken in most of the cases.”

Investigators say the robberies were caught on camera by the apartment complex’s security system. They hope the footage will lead them to the thieves.
