According to reports on TMZ, Katt Williams was arrested early this morning for a possible gun violation.
He was picked up by police at a Hollywood nightclub, after the police department received a call around 1a.m. The caller admitted to police that someone was brandishing a gun at the Supper Club.
Once officers pulled up to the scene, a witness identified Katt Williams as the suspect. Reports on TMZ say that there was no gun found physically on Mr. Williams. The gun was found in the suspect’s car, and Katt, along with two entourage members were cuffed and taken into custody for questioning.
Soon after the arrest, police released one of the men, and charged the other with an unrelated traffic warrant. Katt Williams remained in custody until about 4 a.m. this morning when he was released with no charges. TMZ reported that they were made aware that the gun was not registered, and that police are still trying to figure out who it belongs to. Of course the good guys over on TMZ were on the scene of Katt’s release to get his commentary on the “gun” mishap. Check the video out below.
