A Minnesota Minnetonka high school Principal David Adney told the Star Tribune: “This new trend doesn’t seem right, it’s troubling. Cover your butts up — I’m just going to say it straight up. We’re seeing too much.”
Finally fed up completely with what he was seeing around campus, the concerned school official sent out an email blast to parents on Monday, urging them to, “talk to their daughters about wearing spandex-like yoga pants or other tight fitting leggings with T-shirts that expose ‘more leg and backside’, and that it can be ‘highly distracting for the [male] students’.”
“It must have touched a nerve,” Adney said referring from the response of parents and students to the email blast. “It’s not about trying to be the clothing police, it’s just a sensitivity issue. Hopefully with us being the first to speak up, it will create a lot of conversations.”
This principal is no stranger to keeping his students in line. In fact, six years ago, Principal Adney made a student friendly video prohibiting any type of “grinding on each other while dancing” at school dances.
