Cassidy to Meek Mill “That wasn’t a diss record. I was just messing around with beats.”

    So, despite how slick Cassidy delivered words on his latest track, “The Diary of a Hustla”, the Philly battle rapper/emcee denies any of those words to be aimed at Meek Mill. Lately in the twitter streets, the two “Brotherly Love” state natives have been going in on each other, and the tensions between the two have been boiling every since a believed “diss” record was released by Cassidy.


    Well, just recently Cass told Power 105.1 via Hip Hop-N-More, that he wasn’t dissing Meek Mill at all. He admitted to the previous feuding with Mill, but claims that he recorded that track hours before the feud on Twitter.

    “[Meek] definitely don’t want a battle with me,” he said. “That wasn’t a diss record – I was messing around with the beats, I got my MP back, I was banging out and just put something together. But I just put it out a couple hours after we went through that Twitter situation, so everybody called it a Meek diss. It wasn’t; it just was a record to give the streets some bars. If I do a diss record, it’s gonna be on the ether level, if not worse. It’s gonna be direct, you gonna know it’s a diss record – you gonna know who I’m talking about.”

    Ironically, Meek Mill may have actually sorta called this “type” of announcement in a tweet. When Cassidy released the diss record and media began flushing it through hip hop sites, this is what the MMG artist tweeted:
