New Music And New Album From Jimi Hendrix To Be Released In 2013 (Video Inside)

Jimi Hendrix has been dead for 42 years now, but his legacy still lives on through the his catalog of music. For those Hendrix fans who yearn for more from the genius, then you are in luck. According to Hendrix’s website, a collection of 12 unreleased songs will be available for purchase March 5th 2013.

The music will be released and packaged as a new album called,  “People, Hell and Angels.” The previously unreleased tracks were recorded in 1968 and ’69. Rolling Stone revealed the album cover on its website Wednesday.

Hendrix recorded the songs apart from the Jimi Hendrix Experience as he considered new, experimental directions for his follow-up to “Electric Ladyland.” He plays keyboards, percussion and a second guitar on the album.

Hendrix died in September 18th 1970 from a drug overdose. His legacy as one of the greatest gutairst of all-time lives on today through the music of artists like Andre 3000 and more. Listen to Jimi’s interview with Dick Cavett in 1970. This would be his last interview.
