The beef between Hot 97 and Nicki Minaj seems to have no end to it. What started at Summer Jam this past year sparked the controversy between hip hop’s reigning princess and Paul Rosenberg, Hot 97 on-air personality for New York City’s popular morning show. The beef started when Rosenberg announced on stage that the fans were here for that real hip-hop, not that “Starships, bs,” making reference to Nicki’s single at the time.
Well, time doesn’t heal all wounds like the saying goes, especially after Nicki’s latest dramatic move.
Recently, Hot 97’s Program Director Ebro went on the air to announce that Nicki called him and asked that the station stop playing her music all together. Ebro went on to describe the phone call he got from Nicki and explained where the newest rift between Nicki and Hot 97 came from, and defended his comment that Rosenberg ended her career.
