In the quickest come-up in hip hop history, it looks like Atlanta rapper, Trinidad James might have signed a $2 Million contract with Def Jam Records. Just last week Trinidad James performed to a packed crowd at NYC’s Santo’s Party House and industry insiders such as XXL Magazine Editor, Jayson Rodriguez, tweeted that both Def Jam and Atlantic Records execs were in the building.
Last night Twitter was on fire with other industry insiders, DJ’s and artists tweeting that Trinidad may officially be a Def Jam artist. For someone who’s only been rapping for about 10 months, we’re definitely interested in seeing how this move works out for Trinidad and Def Jam, if the rumors are true. We’ll keep you posted on the situation.
