Now all of the Pacquiao jokes don’t seem nearly as funny as they did a couple of days ago. Boxing legend, Manny Pacquiao was knocked out cold last Saturday night during his fight with Juan Manuel Marquez, and now the Nevada State Athletic Commission is forcing Pacquiao into a 120 day boxing suspnsion. For the first 90 days, Pacquiao can’t engage in any sort of boxing-related activity and he must also undergo brain testing.
“I have to take him to the Cleveland Clinic in Las Vegas, the brain center, which is a brain specialist.. We’re going to do an extensive brain examination before we commit him to a fight” said Pacquiao’s promoter, Bob Arum. Pacquiao was taken to the University Medical Center in Las Vegas after the fight, and went through a CT scan and other precautionary tests. They were all negative.
