In a recent “My Favorite Things” segment with Kendrick Lamar on Google Play, the Compton newcomer who actually dropped one of the best albums of 2012, Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City,  gave his opinion on fellow artists that dropped equally dope projects this year.

Kendrick revealed that  rap veteran Nas and R&B crooner, Frank Ocean dropped two of the best albums of the year in his opinion and we couldn’t agree more.

Kendrick Lamar on Nas’ Life is Good:

“Nas kept his longevity, kept his creativity, kept his storytelling at an all time high given the fact that he’s been in the game so many years… Still being able to come fresh and come new to where he’s amongst the elite artists in the game. Nas. Life is Good. Legend.”

Kendrick on Frank Ocean’s Channel Orange:

“It’s a great album, great concepts. That’s what it’s about in the game. I can respect that. “
