The Internet rumbled with gossip when Chris Brown showed up with Rihanna to Jay-Z’s Barclays Center concert. Many speculated that the two were officially back to being an item. Their duet, “Nobody’s Business” didn’t do anything to weaken the rumor mill. According to Roc Nation executive and Jay-Z’s right hand man, Tyran “Ty Ty” Smith, the duet was all Jay’s idea.
In a recent interview with Complex magazine, Ty Ty said, “We don’t focus on the media, so it was never a question,” he says. “It’s all about the music. Everything else doesn’t even play a part in the studio.”
He went on to explain that The-Dream didn’t write the song as a duet, but when Smith and Jay heard the song they made the decision.
“The-Dream didn’t write it for them as a duet. Jay-Z and I were in the car together listening to the song, and we thought it would be a great duet. It sounds dope. It feels good. That’s how Chris ended up on the song”.
It’s no surprise the two have decided to rekindle their relationship since most have already speculated that they would eventually get back together. While what happened years ago that broke them up was awful, young people make mistakes and are entitled to learn from them so we have to agree with them, “It’s Nobody’s Business”
