It looks like the new thing in 2013 is to not only prank call celebrities, but to take it a step further and prank call the police on behalf of a celebrity, and Chris Brown is the latest victim of the new fad. According to the LA Times, the Los Angeles Police Department received a call on Monday evening (January 21) claiming that there was a domestic dispute at the L.A. home of Chris Brown.
An unknown person called LAPD and told police that he “wasn’t sure if his mother had been shot”. But once police got there, Chris wasn’t even home, only his staff was there. When the cops searched the premises they didn’t find anything wrong.
Authorities are claiming that Chris Breezy is just one of many Hollywood celebs who has been the victim of this type of hoax, known as “swatting”. Sources are claiming that Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus have both ben victims of “swatting” in the past couple of weeks.
The incident comes just days after it was revealed that Chris Brown and his on-again, off-again girlfriend, Rihanna have been working on a new single together. It wasn’t long ago when we heard the two together on “Nobody’s Business” off of Rihanna’s latest album, Unapologetic. The name of the track, or who’s album it’ll be released on hasn’t been announced yet, but we can’t wait to hear what the two come up with this time.
