According to JS Online, it’s been confirmed that a Milwaukee rapper, Yung LT, who went missing on New Year’s Day was the victim of an alleged brutal gang attack by five men where they beat the young rapper to death. Yung LT, whose real name is Ebony Young was an up and coming transgender rapper, who was reported missing by her mother on January 2, after she didn’t show up for work and didn’t show up for a meeting between her and her mother.
Young’s roommate, Billy R. Griffin claimed that the last time he saw the rapper she was leaving their home, walked up the street and got into a car around 10:30 pm the night before she was reported missing. Young’s mother found a cellphone near the area that Griffin reported he last saw Young and turned it over to the authorities. They then traced the last cell phone made on the call to two of the men who allegedly assisted in Young’s killing, Victor Stewart and Ashanti McAlister.
After questioning Young’s roommate, Billy Griffin for a second time, police became convinced that the 26-year old was hiding something. According to reports, Griffin allegedly revealed that he lied about seeing Young walk up the street and get into a car on January 1, instead he admitted that Stewart and McAlister along with two other men, Ron Joseph Allen and Devin Lattrez Seaberry entered his home that night and told him that Young could not be trusted. The men who were all members of the same street gang, allegedly promised Griffin that if he murdered Young, he would be allowed back into their gang.
Griffin then admitted that the four men took Young down to the basement of her home, where they “choked Young with a chain and taped a plastic bag over Young’s head while Mcalister held a gun. After Young passed out, the group beat Young with tools. Griffin said he couldn’t take watching and returned upstairs but later heard the others say they wanted to make sure Young was dead, then three gunshots”.
All of the men claimed in their statements to police that Young’s transgendered status did not play a factor in their brutal killing. Some even claimed that they were not aware that she was in fact a woman. All five men are currently being held at the Milwaukee County Jail where they have been charged with first-degree intentional homicide, as parties to the crime. Hip Hop Enquirer will continue to keep you posted on any updates in the story.
