While Chris Brown and Frank Ocean were throwing ‘bows last night in L.A., hip hop veteran, LL Cool J invited Oprah into his Los Angeles home to be the next guest on her popular talk show, “Oprah’s Next Chapter”. While a lot of us may have assumed that LL’s life has been filled with nothing but stardom and success, the 45 year old rapper opened up about some tough times in his life including his father shooting his mother and grandmother when he was only 5, being abused as a child by one of his mother’s friend, and a night in his adult life when a stranger entered the home where he, his wife and 2 of his daughters were sleeping.
The family man was joined by his wife, Simone, in the interview where she discusses how hard it’s been to stay married to a rap artists/sex symbol and which LL video made her snap. It gets pretty intense! Check out clips below from LL’s sit-down with Oprah.
