The day of YouTube being used simply to view your favorite throwback videos is far behind us. Now, YouTube is the home of some of the most watched series and shows, and Alchemy Networks is leading the pack in the new trend.
Alchemy Networks is launching a premium urban lifestyle network via YouTube which includes several YouTube channels such as Kaleidoscope which premiered in 2013 and FWD which is slated to premiere in March.
All of the channels and programming will target African-American viewers ranging from ages 18 to 34, with programming about urban beauty, style and celebrity culture. “We are incredibly proud to announce the launch of Alchemy, as it is the first network of its kind, a multi-channel network offering digital programming for urban audiences,” says Peter Griffith, CEO of Alchemy Networks. “Alchemy will pioneer the digital network industry with exclusive content and talent targeting African Americans.”
The network will also be teaming up with Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kandi Buruss for a premium channel revolving around her super-popular “Kandi Koated Nights” online show.
