Moments ago, the body of former Los Angeles Police Officer Christopher Jordan Dorner who declared war on those he believed ruined his career, was positively identified by the coroners office after an autopsy was conducted.
“The charred human remains located in the burned out cabin in Seven Oaks have been positively identified to be that of Christopher Dorner,” the San Bernardino County Sheriff and Coroner’s Office said in a written statement. “During the autopsy, positive identification was made through dental records.”
There were some who wanted to believe that the troubled cop had got away as evidence to social media chatter. Earlier today, the couple that Mr. Dorner took hostage stated that when they came face to face with him in their cabin, he appeared calm and meticulous and stated that he didn’t want to harm them but that they were a means to his end. “He said four or five times that he didn’t have a problem with us, he just wanted to clear his name,” Jim Reynolds said. “He said I don’t have a problem with you, so I’m not going to hurt you.”
This case has undoubtably raised more questions than answers especially since there was a audio recording of sheriffs saying to “burn it down” or “through the burners”, suggesting that the fire was in fact intentional and was the strategy in bringing the shootout to a end.
