Former L.A. officer Christopher Dorner committed suicide, said the coroner yesterday (Feb 15). CNN reports that before the blaze, the 33-year old fugitive shot himself once in the head. Christopher Dorner was wanted by police for killing four people and wounding three. Dorner wrote a very detailed letter, holding in very angry feelings towards his former co-workers.
Capt. Kevin Lacy of the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department told the reporters:
While we’re still compiling the information and putting our reports together, the information that we have right now seems to indicate that the wound that took Christopher Dorner’s life was self-inflicted.
The Christopher Dorner Man Hunt
During the same news conference of this announcement, Sheriff John McMahon told reporters that Dorner wasn’t far from their location at the command center. McMahon talked about how Dorner probably spent a few days in the unlocked house of Karen and Jim Reynolds. They even believed that he was there on a day they actually knocked on the door. After visiting the various places and vehicles Dorner occupied during his run, authorities found semi-automatic handguns, tear gas, silencers, and a military-style helmet.
Was Christopher Dorner Set On Fire?
Interestingly and scary at the same time, Sheriff John McMahon admitted to knowing that tear gas canisters generated heat, but he did not admit to commanding officers to intentionally set the cabin on fire. Should the public take him for his word?
Who Was The “Real” Christopher Dorner?
Christopher Dorner fled the police for days, committing a series of crimes. While some say he was a dangerous man, out to inflict harm on innocent people, others believe he was a man betrayed, seeking justice by any means necessary. Dorner’s manifesto included some very personal facts about his upbringing as well.
