King Mez who just recently sat down with Hip Hop Enquirer for a 1-one-1 interview, sat down to talk to TheGrio.com about his N.C. music roots and just how much Carolina has influenced his musical abilities. Mez confirmed that through the likings of such legendary artists like Little Brother and 9th Wonder, N.C., his ‘soulful roots’ have been heavily influenced. King Mez talks about the pace of N.C. , the artistic scenery, and just the ‘soul-filled’ vibes North Carolina provides for an artist like himself. Just as he mentioned in our interview with him late last year, King Mez also talks about his final decision of pursuing music, right after his mother passed away.

One thing is for sure, King Mez is preparing the hip hop world for a supreme introduction to his clever bars. Opening for Pusha T and Fabolous’s  ‘The Life Is So Exciting” Tour, this spring 2013, is where you can catch live visuals of King Mez tearing up the stage. One of Hip Hop Enquirer’s favorite, recent King Mez verse, lies on the ‘Root of All Evil” mixtape by B. $tack$, at Bonus track #16 ,”Money Over The Fame”.  Comment in the section below, and let us know what you think about King Mez’s interview with TheGrio.com.
