Rick Ross Clarifies “Date Rape” Lyrics… Sort Of But Not Really [Video]
Rick Ross has been getting hit this week for his lyrics on Rocko’s “U.O.E.N.O.”
On the track Rick Ross raps,
“Put Molly all in her champagne, she ain’t even know it’
I took her home and I enjoyed that, she ain’t even know it”
The Bawse has been called out by numerous people for advocating drugging a woman and then raping her. Speaking with radio station, Q 93.3 in New Orleans, Big William had this to say:
“It’s certain things you can’t Tweet and certain things you want people to hear from your voice and I want to make sure this is clear that the woman is most precious gift known to man. And there was a misunderstanding with a lyric… a misinterpretation where the term “rape” wasn’t used.
I would never use the term rape in my records or my camp. Hip-Hop and the streets don’t condone that. Nobody condones that so I just wanted to reach out to all my Queens that’s on my timeline, all the sexy ladies and the beautiful ladies that had been reaching out to me regarding the misunderstanding. We don’t condone rape and I’m not with that.”
Well he did address the situation… sort of but he remains a walking contradiction as he doesn’t condone rape but the lyric clearly insinuate that he does.
Ross also talks about his past seizures as well as Lil Wayne’s recent health risk and his upcoming projects including his new album Master Mind.
Watch the interview below and let us know if you think he skated around the date rape lyrics.
