Waka Flocka Flame To Host Anti-Violence Concert In Chicago
Gucci Mane may be the poster boy for revolving jail doors but his one time partner Waka Flocka has bigger plans. After a heated split last month from Gucci, Waka is continuing on his rock star trek and is giving back in the process.
Waka Flocka Flame has partnered with United In Peace Inc. to try to bring peace to Chicago’s gang and violent ridden streets.
The Atlanta MC is slated to host a Chicago anti-violence concert, which will be held the first week of June at an undisclosed venue. The goal of the United In Peace INC. and Waka Flocka Flame concert is to help curb the shootings and murders that have taken place in Chi-Town during the last few years.
Waka stated,
“Senseless acts of violence [are] happening all over the world, but it starts with us acknowledging the acts now. Chicago is the first but not the last for me.”
All proceeds from the anti-violence concert will be given to the United In Peace, INC. organization, which is helmed by Wallace “Gator” Bradley, a former gang enforcer in the Gangster Disciples and self-proclaimed urban translator.
They are also planning to tour four Chicago-area high schools (Phillips, Du Sable, Fenger and Harper), Chicago State University and Washington Elementary School in Riverdale, Illinois in order to spread a message of peace.
Wallace Gator Bradley added,
“To GOD be the GLORY, for touching Waka’s heart and allowing him to reach out and working with me (Wallace Gator Bradley, President) and Noble – Ameer Ali, Executive Director of United In Peace, Inc, in our efforts to turn the tide on Senseless Shootings and Killing across America in general but in the African-American communities in particular, especially Chicago.”
Since Gucci has replaced Chief Keef with Waka Flocka in the Brick Squad camp, this is going to be interesting. Maybe this is something Chief Keef needs to be in attendance to as well since he’s helping instigate a lot of gang violence throughout the city.
