Tupac Shakur To Get A Star On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame
Tupac Back!!! Yes indeed, it was announced this week that the iconic Hip-Hop star and movie actor will get his star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.
David Green, the Hollywood Walk of Fame committee chairman, announced Tupac as an honoree on Thursday, along with other music stars including Ray Parker Jr. and Motown songwriters and producers Holland-Dozier-Holland.
Green stated,
“We have a great mix of celebrities and industry executives who have made Hollywood what it is today — one of the greatest entertainment destinations in the world. The new selections will bring great joy and fond memories for those millions who visit Hollywood each year!”
Dates for the Walk of Fame ceremonies have not been scheduled. Honorees have up to five years to schedule their ceremonies from date of selection, otherwise they will expire.
Others who will also be honored next year include Giancarlo Esposito, Tavis Smiley, Orlando Bloom, Ray Dolby, Sally Field, Jack Harris, Jessica Lange, Matthew McConaughey, Liam Neeson, Paul Mazursky, Tom Sherak, Dabney Coleman, Kaley Cuoco, Claire Danes, Deidre Hall, Cheryl Hines, Don Mischer, Katy Perry, Rick Springfield and Phil Hartman.
Salute to Makaveli The Don… Also as previously reported, a new documentary film and 5 box disc set of unreleased music and footage of 2Pac is scheduled to be released next year.
