Police in north Louisiana say a 36-year-old man is accused of killing 18-year-old rapper Lil Snupe in an argument that broke out during a video game at a friend’s apartment.
According to The Associated Press, a news release says Winnfield police got a warrant Friday to arrest Tony Holden in the death of the rapper, whose actual name is Addarren Ross of Jonesboro.
Lil Snupe died Thursday morning at an apartment in Winnfield, Louisiana. He had been shot twice in the chest.
Snupe Ross had recently signed a recording deal with the Meek Mill’s Dream Chasers label.
Police issued three arrest warrants for Holden, on one count each of first-degree murder, armed robbery and illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Police describe Holden as a convicted violent felon who should be considered armed and dangerous. As of Sunday, Holden has not been captured by authorities. Police consider Holden to be a violent offender.
Winnfield police say anyone with knowledge of where Tony D. Holden, 36, of Winnfield, might be should call the Police Department at (318) 628-3511.
The Shreveport Times reports that Snupe’s funeral will be held next Saturday, June 29th, at Jonesboro-Hodge High School.
