If listening to the words of Zimmerman juror B37 wasn’t enough proof that perhaps her along with the other members of the panel had already made up their mind that Trayvon Martin was the aggressor even though the evidence shows that George Zimmerman tracked and hunted down the 17-year old teen like a dog and killed him.
Another problem with this particular juror is that her husband who is an attorney knows defense attorney Mark O’ Mara, that point was established during voire dire questioning. It is our belief that there was no way George Zimmerman would have been convicted with this particular juror sitting on the panel and that is a travesty of justice.
A juror who voted to acquit George Zimmerman in the k!lling of 17 year old unarmed teen Trayvon Martin sat down for an interviewwithCNN’s Anderson Cooper last night. During the interview, the juror sparked outrage on social media when she concluded that George Zimmerman’s “heart was in the right place” when he confronted Trayvon Martin.
The juror, known only as B37, had already come under fire for signing a book deal only days after Zimmerman’s acquittal.
B37 said that when deliberations began, three of the women were for acquittal, two were for manslaughter and one was leaning towards convicting Zimmerman of second degree murder. However, eventually all of the jurors came to the conclusion that Zimmerman had shot Martin in self-defense.
“I think George Zimmerman is a man whose heart was in the right place, but just got displaced by the vandalism in the neighborhood and wanting to catch these people so badly he went above and beyond what he should have done,” she said.
“But I think his heart was in the right place,” she said. “It just went terribly wrong.”
B37 also said she believed the dispatcher “kind of egged him on”, a notion that wasn’t even implied by defense during trial.
She also said she believed George Zimmerman’s version of events, that Trayvon Martin came out of nowhere and attacked him.
“Trayvon decided he wasn’t going to let him scare him and got the one-up on him. I think Trayvon got mad and attacked him,” she said.
B37 said she didn’t feel that race played a role Zimmerman following Martin.
“I don’t think it did,” she said. “I think if there was another person — Spanish, white, Asian — if they came in the same situation Trayvon was I think George would have reacted the same way.”
Hours after her calamitous interview with Anderson Cooper, juror B37 announced that she would no longer be writing a book.
Part of the juror’s statement, via her publisher:
“I realize it was necessary for our jury to be sequestered in order to protest our verdict from unfair outside influence, but that isolation shielded me from the depth of pain that exists among the general public over every aspect of this case. The potential book was always intended to be a respectful observation of the trial from my and my husband’s perspectives solely and it was to be an observation that our ‘system’ of justice can get so complicated that it creates a conflict with our ‘spirit’ of justice.
