The 3rd Annual Atlanta Hip Hop Day was one of the best musical festivals that the city has to offer and this year was an even better one for the organizers and their sponsors as people converged on Woodruff Park in downtown Atlanta for great music, games, visual arts, dj mix-offs, and incredible MC battles.
The B-Boy and Dance stage was organized by Zulu Nation and Funk Lord’s own Quic Rojas and featured some of the cities most talented urban and Hip Hop dance crews. They performed exhibitions and competed while music was provided by Dj Fat Snacks and DJ Massive.
It has also been a tradition for the event to honor those who have contributed to the culture of hip-hop.
This year, Raheem the Dream and King J of Arvis Records were honored. Legendary New York DJ Red Alert presented the awards to both recipients.
Live performances on the main stage included some of the best Atlanta’s has to offer in unsigned acts that included T’Melle, Tex James, Shop Boyz, EDubb, Sy Ari Da Kid, and other independent artists. MMG’s DJ Scream spinned on the 1’s and 2’s along with DJ Butter Phingerz, DJ Razor and DJ J-Soul
The event was produced by MC W.A.R. Promotions llc and sponsored by Vlado Footwear, Rent A Wheel/Rent A Tire, Metro PCS, Xyience Energy Drink, Hosea Feed The Hungry, and Hip Hop Enquirer. Check out the photo gallery below and leave a comment:
