32-year-old Yo Gotti is keeping the streets on lock with his latest material, having released his debut album Live From The Kitchen on January 10, 2012 with the album’s mega hit single “5 star” featuring Nicki Minaj. Gotti’s “5 star” became a commercial success peaking at number 79 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, number 19 on U.S. R&B, and number 11 on U.S. Rap! At the rate this single climbed the charts, it’s no doubt that Gotti’s track was the ultimate street anthem in 2012, banging down every block!
The Memphis rapper hits the studio for another round and comes even harder with his sophomore album, I Am. The album is said to debut on November 19, 2013, and features Gotti’s new hit single “Cold Blood” featuring “Born Sinner” rapper J. Cole. We can see this is quite the shakeup for the 2 MCs to do a collaborative effort together, but this can only mean they are coming with the heat!
“Started from the ground/Building to the sky now/Watch it fall down/How you gon’ survive now?/Yeah,it’s cold blood in a nigga/The streets left no love in a nigga”
The two spit realness into reality over a silk smooth tempo. If you haven’t already, check out the dope new joint!
