VH1 is producing a documentary on hip-hop and how it became a cultural movement. This is one of those documentaries that you can’t miss. It will be based on record executive Steve Stoute’s 2012 book,”The Tanning of America: How Hip-Hop Created a Culture That Rewrote the Rules of the New Economy.The project will be made of four different parts that feature interviews from Rick Rubin, Dr. Dre, Al Sharpton, Russell Simmons, Cory Booker, Ron Howard, and Tommy Hilfiger. The documentary will be directed by Billy Corden, who is also the director of Cocaine Cowboys. Be sure to be on the lookout, the four-part documentary is scheduled to drop February 2014.
