40-year-old Maino has been in and out of the game over the years, but we know anything with his name on it is fire! The Bronx rapper experienced commercial success with his “Hi Hater” single that premiered off of his debut album If Tomorrow Comes back in 2008. Maino then did a spinoff to the track and dropped a remix featuring rap stars T.I., Swizz Beatz, Plies, Jadakiss, and Fabolous! The rapper wasn’t even near finished coming back with another mega hit in 2009 entitled, “All The Above”. The Just Blaze-produced track featured the one and only, T-Pain, and the two watched their duo track land a spot on the Billboard Hot 100 at #54 and #10 on the Hot Rap Tracks!
This Bronx big shot has evidently been on his A-game, not to mention his latest release, featuring Wu-Tang Clan’s Raekwon, called “Bet That”. The track features a smooth tempo and sound inspired by Raekwon’s “Incarcerated Scarfaces”. The two talk about their daily hustle chasing the paper, and their come up in life going from nothing to something.
Maino raps, “Started from the bottom had to battle with piranhas/Now it’s sun sets shrimp salads at Katana”
Two dope lyricists, one track, bump it!
