In 1988, Queen Latifah made a huge splash in the hip hop scene. Aside from the fact that the Queen was talented enough to stand among the men, but her message was positive and empowering to young women across the world.
Queen Latifah teamed up with UK rapper Monie Love for the official music video to “Ladies First,” featured on Latifah’s debut album All Hail The Queen, released in 1989.
