Whether you were out in the audience amongst millions in L.A.’s Nokia theatre, or watching from home stapled to that cozy couch of yours, we can all agree that Sunday’s American Music Awards shocked millions as TLC showed up and showed out!
The famous group did damage in the 90’s, as they set the bar sky high for female artists in the game and gradually became admirable figures in the industry who thousands of fans commended and looked up to. The group experienced substantial success, releasing their Ooooooohhh… On the TLC Tip album, which sold over 6 million copies worldwide, and knocked the socks off of the charts as their sophomore album CrazySexyCool struck gold and surpassed their debut album.
We all got a big surprise Sunday night as we saw TLC’s Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas take the stage with special guest, Lil Mama, who filled in for former member Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, to perform their timeless jam, “Waterfalls”. The famous track stands in place alongside the several other classics that the group released such as “No Scrubs”, “Creep”, and “What About Your Friends”. Who said TLC lost it? At the speed they were going with that kickass choreography? 13 years out of the game put them right where they need to be, back in full effect! The three hit the stage and rocked the crowd with their jaw-dropping performance, winning their first AMA, and I’m sure it won’t be their last! Great job ladies! If you didn’t catch it, tune in and sit front row to their performance here on HipHopEnquirer!
