In a recent interview Death Row Records founder Suge Knight was asked whether he gives people a pass when they use the “N” word around him? He was sort of on the fence in his response in that he said it depends on who was saying it and the context in which it was used.
His response appeared to be a bit confusing at first but Knight added that he did not want to be called an African American. His reason makes a lot of sense once you watch the video above:
Do you find his reasoning sound or do you think being labeled an African-American even though you were not born in Africa is appropriate?
