The world has lost one of its favorite TV stars. James Avery who starred on the “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air” along with mega star Will Smith from 1990 to 1996 died last night. The world knew him as “Uncle Phil”, always giving superb advice to Will that translated to millions of fans. He wasn’t only a great father figure to Will but to us all. James Avery was having open heart surgery in Glendale, California with his wife Barbara by his side when things took a turn for the worst. James Avery was only 68.
