The crimes surrounding the release of popular Air Jordans shoes are becoming a social norm in todays society. Recently a student of Duluth High School was robbed at gunpoint for a pair of Jordan Six Gold Moments. The teen posted the shoes for sale in a Facebook group “Gwinnett Sneaker Heads” for $280.00. The suspect Christian Brown responded to the ad.
Originally, the meeting place for the sale was Jenny Mart on Club Drive but the suspect made last minute changes to meet at the Wesley St. Claire Apartments on Sweetwater Rd in Lawrenceville Ga. The teen was approached for the sale by Tyrese Tyrail Watkins another suspect. Christian Brown appeared and ordered the teen back into his car pointing a black handgun at his forehead.
With a description and positive ID, police arrested Christian Brown at his home. Shortly after police arrested Tyrese Watkins. Both we’re charged and arrested for armed robbery. Brown is also a suspect for another shoe robbery which occurred a week earlier at the Jenny Mart.
