Remembering PR Veteran Dee Dee Cocheta-Williams

    Known as the Hip Hop Mama, Founder of A.B.C. Publicity and PR Veteran Dee Dee Cocheta-Williams passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2014 after fighting her battle with breast cancer she was only 42 years old. There are several words that can describe Dee Dee. She was a mother of 7, wife, public relations professional, and music enthusiast. Dee Dee was deemed by Atlanta Journal Constitution as the “maestro of marketing” She got her start in Radio before she  started A.B.C. Publicity in 1999.

    Because off her influence Williams has been working and contacted by small businesses, brands and non-profits for her experience in media relations and social media strategies. She has also coordinated publicity efforts for music, fashion & film events. Dee Dee even developed PR and marketing campaigns for major Grammy-award winning artists. Dee Dee was well known for her love for hip-hop and being a music enthusiast. She even wrote an open letter to Rick Ross regarding his lyrics to “U.O.E.N.O.” which gained  national attention and sparked a much needed debate.
