Three males wearing masks and hoodies walked into a Family Dollar on January 3, 2015 on Cascade Rd. with semi automatic pistols allegedly threatening customers and the cashier until they were given money. It’s unclear why anyone would want to rob a Family Dollar, but according to the police report, the three suspects pointed their guns at a customer and told him to drop to the ground. They allegedly then pointed their pistols at the cashier, demanding the money in the register.

The police report states that the cashier told police that the men took the register, smashed it open, took all the money and grabbed a handful of cigars and left. Nothing says “I’m classy” more than robbing a dollar store at gunpoint for cigars. The cashier was unsure of how much money was in the register at the time of the incident, but reportedly it was close to $2000. Witnesses didn’t seem to see where the suspects took off to after leaving the Family Dollar and couldn’t identify a vehicle, but 30 minutes later two witnesses allegedly told police they saw three or four males run across the street with a register in tow. Check out surveillance video of the robbery above.
