Mr. Freek-a-Leek a/k/a Petey Pablo is a freeman once again after being released from prison this morning. The North Carolina MC was released after serving over two years for trying to smuggle a gun through the airport.
On September 11, 2010, Petey Pablo was arrested at Raleigh-Durham International Airport after trying to carry a stolen 9mm semi-automatic pistol aboard a US Airways flight bound for Los Angeles. On September 26, 2011, he was sentenced to 35 months in prison but apparently Christmas is in March too.
Petey is already ready to get back on his grind and appears to be headed back into the studio with long time collaborator Timbaland. Upon his release, Petey stated,
“I just want to say that I’m totally glad to be back in the race and behind the wheel of a car that has been fine tuned for the greatest performance. I’m now headed to the workshop to begin what will be noted as my best work ever with one of the greatest producers of all time. My brother, my friend, my partner for life mega producer Timbaland, the king. See ya in a few, shirt still spinning!”
