Kid Cudi stopped by “The Arsenio Hall Show” and spit some real talk about the state of Hip-Hop.
Kid Cudi said that,
“The braggadocio money cash hoes needs to be deaded. I feel like that’s holding us back as a culture and Black people. It doesn’t advance us in anyway, shape or form. We’ve been doing that same thing for like four decades now of the same bullshit… I feel like if you’re going to be an artist, there’s a time when you just have to embrace the responsibility and understand that the power of music is so special and if you’re doing it on this magnitude where you’re reaching millions of people, why not use that for good and tell kids something they can connect with and use in their lives…
My mission statement from day one was to help kids not feel alone and to stop them from committing suicide.”
Kid Cudi also addressed his own bouts with depression and thinking about committing suicide. Gotta respect real.
Peep the interview now also support his latest album Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon on iTunes.
