An investigation is underway after a police officer pulled a gun Omari Grant and his friends. Omari Grant, 11, said he was a building a tree house in his neighborhood when Henry County, Georgia police arrived and drew a gun on him and his friends. Police arrived on the scene in response to a neighbor’s call complaining about the children chopping off tree limbs.
In addition to police putting a gun in Grant’s face, they allegedly used foul language and forced the children to lay on the ground. No arrests were made, but Grant’s mother filed an excessive force complaint and the Henry County police department is currently investigating the officer’s actions.
