Atlanta music power house player Yung Joc has been off the scene for about five years now and he’s finally back and ready to turn things up.  Only dropping a few releases here and there during his hiatus, Yung Joc sat down with Hip-Hop Enquirer and discussed his forced vacation due to contract disputes with his former labels Block Entertainment and Bad Boy.

In the interview, Joc details how he was told he “couldn’t do Young Joc business (Block Ent. and his solo deal) and Swagg Team business (Joc’s label) at the same time.”

“There were a number of things that took place all at once that hindered me from moving on to the next plateau. And at the same time you had people that didn’t understand the moves I wanted to make that I felt and desired and wanted to be done.  There was a situation where somebody told me either it’s going to be Yung Joc business or Swagg Team business and I didn’t understand that because I felt like it could be Yung Joc and Swagg Team business.  Baby allowed Lil Wayne to do Young Money/Cash Money so I didn’t understand why someone at the time couldn’t understand that.  I thought they would get it and that was one of those things that made me back up… And when I backed up, they backed up, and nothing happens when that happens.  So I was locked into that situation for a minute…”

With his label business finally in order and free from his old bosses, Joc is hitting the reset switch as he gets ready for his major return.  He’s already smashing the streets with his new single “I Got B**ch*s/ I Got Business.”

Peep the interview now as Joc also discusses how he maintained financially during his down time and the importance of diversifying your business portfolio so that the checks remain coming in even when you’re not in the spotlight.  Also watch the video now and stay tuned for Part 2 of the interview as Yung Joc talks about joining the cast of season 3 of “Love And Hip Hop Atlanta.”
