New Orleans singer August Alsina debut his album entitled “Testimony” this week. With the big debut he has been doing radio and television interviews all over the country the past few weeks. This week the young rapper made his stop by 106 & Park, to chop it up with co-host Bow wow and Keshia Chanté.

In the past few weeks there has been rumors surrounding the possible beef between he and R&B artist Trey Songz. It seems as though August made it very clear that he wasn’t open to discussing it while on the show. Against better judgment Keshia decided to ask him about it anyways. August known for speaking his mind did nothing but that live on the show watch here:

Although he wasn’t willing to talk about the issue there, On Thursday he addressed the issue in a sit down with Sway on Sway In The Morning. Here is a little of what he had to say:

I was played, man. Here’s the thing. I look like the bad guy now because of how I have been portrayed. Really, people don’t know. First off let me say, I ain’t no b-tch, I ain’t no hoe, I ain’t no p-ssy, I ain’t no pushover. None of the above. So nobody… don’t play with me! Like, lead me to believe something that it is not. If you tell me we ain’t gon talk about this when I ask you…You lied right to my face! So don’t blindside me!
So it’s like, all of us, we are going to war around this motherf–ker, with each other. We all on the same squad and then as soon as we get out there bustin’ at ni–as, ya’ll just start shooting at me, “Boom, boom!” So you gotta prepare for me to bust back at you if you don’t kill me. And that’s what it is! So I was played.

Even though August has made it into the music industry it’s clear from his demeanor that he hasn’t detached from his “gangsta” street style. He has made it clear that he has no regrets about what he said. From his prospective, no one should make any mistakes in the future about asking him about Trey Songz when it relates to any potential riffs between the two.
