From the looks of things, it looks like Dr. Dre is on his way to becoming the first Hip-Hop billionaire as it seems that Apple will be buying Dre’s Beats franchise.
Apple is reportedly buying beats Electronics and its new music service, Beats Music, for $3.2 billion.
Dre is currently worth around $550 million and is believed to own about 20%-25% of the company. The purchase would put him ahead of the pack at $800 million and in front of Diddy and Jay Z as the race to a billi continues.
I guess at this point we can clearly say that Detox will never come out.
