Rap mogul Jay Z is bringing his 40/40 Club to Atlanta, but its location may leave you scratching your head. The entrepreneur has recently announced that his famous 40/40 Club will be opening in the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. This airport is one of the biggest and busiest airports in the world. Simply put, if you fly a lot, you more than likely have spent some time at this airport. Now frequent flyers can turn up before they head out.
There are plans to create a VIP lounge area of the club, separate from the sports bar, on a different floor. The 40/40 has a restaurant and lounge in the Barclays Center in Brooklyn as well as one in Manhattan. This will be the club’s third location after two other locations in Las Vegas and Atlantic City have already closed their doors. The club is due to open in the fall.
Is this a smart move for all parties involved? All I keep picturing is the movie Soul Plane and I’m just not sure if that’s a good look or not. What do you think? Feel free to comment below.
