Footwear manufacturer New Balance is waging a war against one of fashion’s biggest heavy hitters. The company is claiming that Karl Lagerfeld jacked its trademark shoe for his new shoes. According to a lawsuit obtained by TMZ, New Balance claims that Lagerfeld is using a block capital letter “K” on an identical shoe design. New Balance claims that this will create brand confusion; which is totally true. Take a good look at the picture above. You don’t even have to stare that long to see the obvious similarities. If you remove the letters would you be able to tell who’s shoe is who’s?
New Balance claims that it has been using this current design since the 70s and the shoe company is not playing any games. Let’s see how this plays out; my money is on New Balance.
