NBA player Stephen Jackson has always loved hip hop. With the season coming to an end the Port Arthur, Texas native has put his true passion of music on the forefront and hooping on the back burner. Don’t get it twisted; Jackson is no rookie to the rap game. In 2011, Jackson released a mixtape entitled “What’s A Lockout?” hosted by DJ Scream of Maybach Music Group. The mixtape included a guest appearance by hip hop legend Scarface.
Now the unsigned NBA baller is back in the studio and this time around he is “showing and proving” that this is more than a hobby as he brings out hip hop heavy-hitters T.I., Jeezy, and Rocko for his latest track “Gumbo”. Atlanta is definitely in the building with this one, but don’t take my word for it, check it out for yourself. All I can say is…it’s a lot better than Shaq. <haha> Shout out to Shaq though, we laugh, but that man’s first album went certified platinum.
