American-Canadian singer-songwriter, Robin Thicke, and the beautiful American actress, Paula Patton, have been legally separated since February after nine years of marriage with a beautiful son, Julian Fuego Thicke. They have yet to file official divorce papers. Clearly, the four-time nominated American Music Award is lost without his beloved and still believes he has a chance to win her back. Some guys bring flowers and chocolates, some teddy bears, some even serenade with a nice little song. Not Robin Thicke; that’s too simple for him. He wants to give her an entire album, Paula, which is set to release July 1st, 2014. Thicke released his single, “Get Her Back”, back in mid-May (and is planning to perform it at the BET Awards) and the lyrics are a confession of his wrong doings and begging for the forgiveness from the love of his life. If that wasn’t enough, back in February, the R&B singer declared his love and showed a more caring, emotional side on a show in Fairfax, VA:
For those who don’t know, my wife and I separated a few days ago. Yeah… I want everyone in here to know that I’m trying to get my girl back. You know, she told me you should go out there and tell the truth. You should tell them that you are trying to get her back. She’s a good woman, you know. It’s hard to sit here in front of everybody, but you know what I want you to help me with, I want you to help me with this next song. If you got somebody with you tonight that you love, and you appreciate, hold on tight to them. Take care of them. I want to dedicate this song to her. I wrote this about her, and I need y’all help to get through it.
When you find someone that loves you! Don’t you give up on that love!
Hopefully, at the BET Awards on June 29th, Paula will be in the crowd as her still-legal husband serenades her with the song written just for her, that will premiere on the album named solely after her. Good luck, you two!
