On May 28th, the Phonesavanh Family went through a terrible and absurd experience when 18-month old Bounkham, better known as “Baby Bou Bou”, was the victim of a mishandled and careless drug raid in Habersham County, Georgia. As a result of the botched raid the toddler now suffers from 3rd degree burns after a stun grenade was thrown in his crib. He was placed in a medically induced coma and is now in critical condition. On top of all of this outrageousness, no arrests were made and no drugs were found.
The parents of “Baby Bou Bou” are now asking the people of Georgia to join them in demanding justice for their son. The rally will be held this Saturday, June 14th at noon at the Old Habersham County Courthouse located at 555 Monroe Street, Clarksville, Georgia 30523.
A bus will leave The Interdenominational Theological Center located at 700 MLK Drive SW, Atlanta on Saturday morning at 10:00 am and return by 4:00 pm. To secure your seat, go to www.Sankofaucc-atl.org and click the ‘Stop Police Brutality’ tab.
Any and all donations to the Phonesavanh family can be made to a Wells Fargo Bank Trust account in the name of Bounkham Phonesavanh or through their family PayPal account justiceforboubou@gmail.com.
