Just about a month ago, American R&B and pop record producer and singer-songwriter, The-Dream, was accused and arrested for assaulting his pregnant girlfriend, Lydia Nam. On the morning of May 7th, 2014, The-Dream turned himself in to the authorities for the allegations (strangulation and assault) against him from his baby mama and later that evening posted $20,000 bail. He was released from custody and then ordered to stay away from Lydia. Not only was he charged for two felonies, but three misdemeanors as well: child endangerment, reckless endangerment and assault. Lydia didn’t tell authorities immediately, but she waited 7 months after to confess.

Today, The-Dream denies the alleged beating accusations formed against him by Lydia Nam, but he claims that she’s just after his money.This past weekend, The-Dream suggested that the only reason she would pull such a stunt would be because she wants to get paid. Talk about trifling. The singer-songwriter will plead his innocence in court.
