Seems like Rick Ross isn’t as War Ready as he says he is. Originally scheduled to perform Saturday night at Detroit radio station Hot 107.5 FM’s Summer Jamz 17, the Miami rapper made a last minute cancellation after he was threatened by a 100 person mob standing outside of the event’s venue.
Earlier this year, Detroit rap artist Trick-Trick attempted to enact a city-wide ban on artists who don’t collaborate with Detroit rappers or contribute to the Detroit hip hop scene through the release of his single, No Fly Zone. And Ricky Rozay is one of those artists! A group of 100 people gathered outside of Summer Jamz and stopped Rick Ross from entering the venue.
Hot 107.5’s program director, Jay Hicks, says Ross was reportedly “in fear of his life” but Ross chalked up the incident on his Twitter as peace protesters keeping him from killing the show.
