R&B singer Chris Brown rejected a plea deal yesterday, June 25th in his Washington, D.C. assault case. The deal would have guaranteed no more jail time for the singer and it would have also given this young talented vocalist his life and career back. According to sources, Brown was real close to copping a plea, but the deal quickly went south as the prosecutor and Brown’s lawyer could not come to an agreement on a statement of fact about the events leading to the alleged assault.
Brown claims that he is not at fault in this case and as a result his trial gets dragged out once again, this time with a September 8th date. Brown is definitely giving us his best poker face, but that’s his story and he’s sticking to it. Hopefully for Chris Brown he made the right decision with rejecting the plea deal, because now the singer faces jail time.
