SUNY Stonybrook student turned independent artist, Mahogany Mitsue, or simply known as Mitsue has released the visual for her track, “Strut”, off of her album called Sex Sells. This Skye William-directed, Boola-produced music video shows off the Queens native strutting all of her stuff up and down the Williamsburg Bridge, down below the subway station, retail stores, countless statues and walls wearing outfits and hairstyles only a Queens queen could rock. The music provides a colourful and lovely overview ofThe Big Apple while providing fans with an upbeat track to listen to. Before the release of the visual, “Strut” was dubbed as a crowd favourite, being played in New York City clubs making girls click their Louboutins and strut their stuff just like Mitsue.

The Blasian beauty, mixed with Japanese and African American, grew up in Queens, New York in an artistic household, being no stranger to art, painting and R&B. Before branching out completely on her own as an independent artist fresh out of college, her exotic beauty gave her a leg up in the modeling career and led to being featured in magazine, such as Maxim and Blackmen. Mitsue was also featured in music videos ranging from Fat Joe’s “Lean Back” to 50 Cent’s “Candy Shop”.

Mahogany Mitsue has performed in numerous hotspots all over The City That Never Sleeps: Drome, Public Assembly, Sullivan Hall, Santos Party House and much more. Do you believe this Hip Rock Funk Diva what it takes to be the future of music?
